Portraits 10. Here is a steam locomotive portrait of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5520, a T-1 (4-4-4-4) "Duplex" built in Juniata during April of 1946 and retired in December of 1953 after just seven years of revenue service. In this context, it's about to depart Englewood's Union Station with an eastbound passenger train. Note the trainphone apparatus on the tender's deck. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. (#68 of 72) |
